spot on one lung and collapsed lung

Results from a CT scan showed a spot on one lung and the other lung collapsed on  my mother.

The Doctors office said they have to check on her insurance and since it was Friday, it would be next week before she will be admitted to the hospital.

Seems to me this is serious????  Is the delay OK?

Waiting would be no problem if it were only the spot on your mother

I have had a lung collapse a couple of times and I would have to beleive this is a very serious situation that should not be waited on.

If it were me I would not delay in getting to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

They need to put in a chest tube and fill the lung back up and then go from there.

Good Luck and my prayers are with both of you.
