swalow problem due to adenoid to my child

My son is 6 years old , last month (in january 2009) he comlpained that somthing had got stuck in his throat.And was taking a lot of time while eating and was snoring a lot. Then we consulted a doctor.He by X-Ray told that his adenoids (adenoids) are enlarged,he than gave some antibiotic after that he did not cmpalained of stucking something.But after some time he agian started eating very slowly,it take him one and half hour to take a little meal.. I am very much disturbed by his such behabier,Kindly advice which type of problem he suffering from?.Is anything serios?
