throat, stomach, vomiting issues

by chris2400, Jul 03, 2009 04:24PM
i am 19 years old and i weight lift and run regularly so i am always in great shape and have no allergies at all. i am in the process of joining the marines and i need to be perfect health for my meps physical. i have recently started having a problem with my throat and stomach. i always have mucus in the back of my throat wheather its after i eat, drink or am doing nothing. its to the point where after i eat i feel the food rising from my stomach half digested and it usually leads to vomiting. this is really effecting me because i cant even talk to someone because in mid conversation i feel like i have to gag. when i gag i burp because recently i cant burp on my own i have to gag to get all the built up air up. i have no health insurance due to no longer being in school so thats why i came to this post. i know this is a very hard subject to analyze due to me reading numerous post from other people with a similar problem. if there is any medical info or medication that would help me get this problem squared away i would be very humble to anyone who can guide me in the right direction because i am very anxious to go to the military.

thank you,
chris

I have mucus at the back of my throat too but it doesnt bother me soo much. just cough it up. What color does ur mucus have? if its white it maybe just an allergy. Yellow/green mucus usually a bacterial and viral ones. if ur too anxious just go to ur doctor. the stomach issue you got, for me suggest a gastroesophageal reflux disorder (GERD). This is just a self-proclaimed diagnosis, i might not be sure about this. so dont consider my doagnosis as a final one, but im a nursing student and have a background on medical stuff. i suggest u consult ur doctor for further assessment.

oic. gagging? are u literally saying that ur have this feeling of puking or vomitting? because thats what gagging means. i have this feeling ur just having a hiccups. too bad I cant actually see when u gag. but anyway, how long have u been coughing? do u have a hyperacidity issues? its better if we communicate thru skype or YM.. do u have one??
