sometimes i find very different tasting fluid in my throat.and sometimes i get thick white paste size of a pea which has very bad smell.please suggest what it is..i am a heavy smoker and i drink a lot....

The smoking can be irritating the lining of the sinuses.  This inflammation can cause thick drainage and is not infected yet or is infected.  Infections are a common cause of the change in the smell of certain drainage. Checking for a sinus infection is probably the next step to determine the cause of these symptoms.
