treatment for blebs

I am a 28 year old female.  I have blebs on the upper right lobe of my lung. The doctors are telling me there is nothing that they can do for it. They give me pain pills and anxiety pills that does nothing to help me breath better. I continue to struggle everyday of my life to breath. there are times when it gets so bad that I feel i'm going to pass out.  I take a breath and nothing goes through.  There are many times when my blebs pop which create holes in my lung, and my breathing becomes so severe, and it lasts anywhere from 7-14 days, I feel like I just want to die I'm so exhasted.  They tell me since my lung has only collapsed once 7 years ago that they do not want to do surgery.  So I guess what I'm trying to get at is, is there anything that I can do to help when my blebs are acting up or giving me trouble.  I have tried inhalors but none work.  Is there anything I can do to help me breath it's ruining my life.  ????????????

I have had breathing problems very severe this last year.  In August of 2013 I had a collapsed lung and was in ICU for 4 days , they inserted a breathing tube in my lung.  None of the procedure or the recuperation hurt.  I don't even know if they gave me stitches, but besides being couch ridden for one to two year prior, I came home to the couch again.
This time dealing with severe shortness of breath just walking to the bathroom.  I am okay sitting down it is only bad if I stand or do any walking or movement. I am 58 years old and feel like my life is over.  I can't do anything on my own. I can ride my bike, take a walk or even got out to dinner with my 14 year old son and husband. My husband thank goodness is retired has to do all the homemaking and he is not very good at it. I had another collapsed lung in June of 2014.
I have blebs on my lungs and I have COPD, but I think there is more to it.  I am retaining CO2 , When I say I out of breath, it is more like I am expelling breath breathing loud forcing the CO2 out. I am now on oxygen at home when needed.
I believe I had a heart attack a few years ago and it was never diagnosed, but since that event when I felt like I had a Mac truck on my chest , I became disabled on even as muc as picking one leaf off the ground , I became totally out of breath and I used to do 3-4 hours of yard work a day.  Help me if any one knows is it my heart or my lungs?

To help the body handle the blebs, first do anulom vilom and bhramri pranayam for three weeks. Then also do kapalbhati to build up the immune system. The extra oxygen going into the blood will help the body to fight. Please post your feedback at some point, so that others may benefit.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Kapalbhati pranayam -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30  minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Duration : 5 to 21  times.

I just left the hospital due to pneumothorax caused by a ruptured bleb. Before this incident I had never had any lung problems but I do fit the demographic most at risk, tall, thin, white male between the ages of 25 to 40. First one should try limiting the risk factors by not smoking or doing any activities that will result in strong pressure changes in the lungs, scuba diving, mountain climbing etc. Although smoking doesn't cause blebs it weakens the lung issue. Through all of my research and two lung specialists’ opinions I’ve been told there currently are no drugs or preventative treatments. More over, while strong theoretical evidence exists, the exact causes of blebs are unknown. This is more discouraging when you find out that those affected are much more likely to have repeat occurrences within a few years. If there is a bright side it is that even the most invasive surgery for treatment rarely involves more then small incisions between the ribs. I have a follow up appointment in two weeks and plan on grilling the doctor for maximum information so hopefully I’ll have a more positive update.

My brother in law also has these blebs. He has 22 of them located on both lungs.  He now is trying to get help  Dr.'s stated that they might have come from a rare disease called,  "Birt-Hogg-Dube Syndrome".  Have you ever heard of this and how are you doing?  Have you found any treatment?

Looking for answers also,  Raedawn

Do you know what is causing the blebs?  Have you explored a possible diagnosis of lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM)?
