trouble breathing in the morning!!

by cabbose, Aug 08, 2009 09:55PM
I am a 17 year old female i am very inactive and I weigh 236 I have been having problems for the past month. I go to sleep i am fine but when I wake up I cant take a deep breath without my lungs being in pain its like a vibrating sensation or think about two stickers together and peeling them apart that's what my lungs feel like or at least that place in my chest. It also hurts very much and forces me to cough like if you breathed in some chemical and started coughing. I don't cough up phlegm though so I cant figure this out after a few deep breaths i manage to get back to normal I can also breath very short breaths and eventually it will go away. I am worried that this could get worse what could it be??? is it my weight because I am a little young to be having problems like breathing???
THANKYOU

Dear 17, There can be many reasons why you are having breathing difficulty particuarly in the mornings. I would suggest you get a total medical examine to rule out any other issues. You mentioned your weight which may be a contributing factor to how you feel in general. I use to weigh 210lbs. I am now weighing 190lbs. I noticed I am more relaxed and sleep better. My breathing is also better. I would suggest you really try to find out if you have a Thyroid problem. I would also see a nutritionist and work on exercise to see if it will make a difference. take care.
