watery eyes,sinus probs?

I have been having problems with my eyes watering down my cheeks. it is quite annoying, it runs constantly. Before that I had a bad cold, and an eye infection which was treated. My Opthamogist feel that maybe the watery eyes is from blocked sinus problems. what do you think?
