weird odor when breathing

by mememe49, Aug 09, 2008 12:29PM
I often experience a weird "heat" odor when breathing
I have asked numerous times people around me if they can smell it and they can't
I don't taste anything then just the smell is weird like when an electric heater is on
sometimes it is quite strong  almost to the point of smelling like wiring burning or very hot
This is difficult to explain
at first I thought it might be a problem in my nose but when I concentrate on my breathing it feels as though it is coming from my lungs
I have not seen a dr. as I don't have any pain  or breathing disorder just this weird smell  not often  but often enough to be perplexing
any info  would be a great help
I take no medications
I am a 57 year old female

This discussion is related to 4 months of breathing  off, weird feelings in chest and throat. Worried..
