Typical symptoms of pneumonia are cough, chest pain, rapid breathing, and shortness of breath.  You will need to see your doctor to know for sure if you have pneumonia or some other health problem.  Please read our Pneumonia MedFact at http://www.nationaljewish.org/medfacts/pneumonia.html for further information.

Regardless of whether you have pneumonia or something else, you need to be seen by a doctor, SOON.  Since the 28th is a holiday (Thanksgiving) and you've already waited this long, perhaps you can wait until Friday, the 29th, but really you ought to go to a doctor and get checked out.  Best of luck & let us know what you learn.  Starion

I'm not a doctor, but I do know that pneumonia is coughing, and I do believe if you had it, you would be one sick little girl and know it.  The pain you would feel in your chest from pneumonia you would feel when you coughed.  If you are not coughing and are not feeling like you are on your deathbed, so to speak, you do not have it.  But you do need to see a doctor and find out what you DO have if it's making you feel unwell.  Especially if you are also experiencing pain in your kidney area.  Kidneys are nothing to play around with, so please, if you're feeling poorly and are not getting better, see a doctor.  And I'm sure whatever it is can be very quickly cured with an antibiotic.  Take care.

my aunt had pneumonia a while back for several months and the dr.s couldn't find it until they did an MRI.  Sometimes pneumonia will present itself with almost no symptoms.  Get checked out for that ASAP...okey dokey 8-)
