why is it when pressure is applied i can't breathe?

by maddie0262, May 23, 2008 07:16PM
When I feel pressure on my chest it becomes very difficult to breathe. My chest feels very delicate. If I am stretching my arm across my chest it feels like my lung closes. I can't lay on my stomach nor go in the hot tub without having trouble breathing. Maybe this is normal? It's just very frustrating. Sometimes even without anything against my chest it is still hard to breathe. Then my chest gets sore for a while after something puts pressure on it. Does anyone have suggestions to what might be happening? I feel like my lung is closing at times but I know that's not it.

Thanks!
