wife coughing

by hat7088, Nov 18, 2008 10:45PM
My wife has had a chronic cough for 3 months, our GP says she has bronchitis and has been on three seperate anti biotic treatments with no real results. Two chest x-rays have been taken which show nothing abnormal. Presently        taking robituusin with coedine and benzonate to try to sleep. Coughing is moderate in daytime but very extreme at night to the point of making sleep impossible at times. Is there anything else that can possible be done or a type of  Dr to see to help here ? Is it possible for a bronchitis to last this long. Also this is a dry , hacking cough with no phlegm.
