will anything ever come out my nose again?

After having sinus surgery 4 wks ago I am still having excessive mucus .  That was one of the reasons that I had the surgery to try to fix this horrible problem.  I did have a deviation that was corrected and that did help that it doesn't bunch up there anymore, however the mucus is still profuse.  My ENT belives it may be part of my autoimmune problem (Lupus). My question is has anyone else had this happen I get precious little out of my nose all the mucus winds up in my throat and I have to still hack and cough it out.  Will my nose ever respond to being blown again?  Am I doomed to snot in my mouth forever.  I had a ethmoidectomy and deviation corrected.  I'm at my wits end and terribly depressed and sick over this.  I really mean sick it make me feel awful to have that junk and all the nasal irrigation solution I must use constantly dripping in my stomach. I'm very careful to spit it out but some does get down in my stomach no matter how hard I try.  What should I do .  Where do I go from here?  I have started the protocal of flonase, astelin and another one can't remember name that suppose to help stop it.(atacand?)  Anyhow they didn't work for me before surgery so I' don't know if they will now I have been using them for a week now and I see no differnce.  All I want is to blow the snot out my nose.  Help me please with any suggestions!!

A nasal wash helps remove mucus from your nose and sinuses.  To improve the benefit you are getting from any nasal spray, do a nasal wash first and then use the nasal spray.  A prescription antihistamine nasal spray, like Astelin

I had chronic sinus problems for years and took many rounds of antibiotics. Finally I went on an almost all raw food diet with carrot and green juices. This program worked but it still took many years There is a product called Xlear that has grafefruitseed extract in it that is supposed to kill orgaanisms.

P. S.  It's me again I forgot to say that whenever I eat anything I create more mucus and I have been tested for allergies and all were negativ.  I wasn't tested for food allergies but I have completely cut out all dairy for the last year.  I don't know what else to do other than I tried cutting out gluten  also without results.  Why does eating make more mucus? Any thoughts.
