Even with a normal spirometry, you could have intermittent obstruction of airflow as occurs with asthma.  It would be good if you could be examined during one of these episodes of shortness of breath.  Perhaps, your doctor could give you a trial of an inhaled bronchodilator, such as albuterol.  Also anxiety or what's called the hyperventilation syndrome can cause such feelings of respiratory distress.  This could occur as a result of anxiety associated with quitting smoking.  In any case, you should definitely have a chest x-ray to be sure there are no other causes.

Your decision to quit smoking is fantastic.  It is unlikely that you have any serious breathing problem at age 37.  Without smoking your lungs should last a long time.

I forgot to say that i had double count of eonophils in the blood test.I wonder if this could be a cronic (chronic) bronchitis, asthma,or i don
