What conditions can be causing extreme burning feeling in hands and feet? They literally feel like they are on fire. I need to know what my doctor should be looking for.

Conditions that could be responsible include neuropathies, myopathies, nerve compression/ trauma, infection/ inflammation, arthritis, vascular causes, micronutrient deficiencies, hormonal/ endocrine abnormalities, electrolyte imbalance, medication side effect etc.
