Dear coke912,

Hello again!

You need to slow down with work if it is tendonitis, which would be only for some days, you would need some alternative arrangements atleast till the inflammation subsides.
Wait for the examination results by your doctor and take the right course.

Take care!

Dear coke912,

Good to know that our response was helpful to you.

Icepacks come in strips and you can place them below your knee while you are lying on your bed. Alternatively you can strap them around the knee. Discuss with the pharmacy guy what all ice packs are available?

For tendonitis you need to rest your knee and also take anti inflammatory drugs to decrease the inflammation.

Discuss all options with your treating Orthopedician and keep us posted after the visit, examination and if you need some more addition advise.

Take care!

hello ty for responding to me i think i did this from running or either walking bit to fast and i havent bang my knee any where at all so i think u prob right about tendonitis but i will be going to see my dr regarding this as well. and im on altace hbp meds so it could be from those as well i been on it for over 8mths now too and this only started 2 wks ago and now when i ride my bike as well i feel the pain inside the pain is tolerable but to a certain point as well, ice pack seems like a good idea but if its in behind my knee where i feel the most and the front to if i do to much so if its tendonitis i will feel it all over my knee then right. n i do take some meds for pain to like i use for headaches as well.

thanks for your input.

Hello!

Welcome to the forum and we would be delighted to advice you.

As you are having this knee pain only since 2 weeks we would not recommend you to a Rheumatologist right away.

We would advise you to go to the General Physician who had advised you anti hypertensive’s and review all the prescribed drugs as this might be an adverse effect of some of the drugs.

Alternatively you might be also suffering from a tendonitis, or might have aggravated your knee by a fall, twist or by a hitting on to the bed, wall or anything. Detailed history is required for coming to proper diagnosis.

If nothing helps you are advised to visit a Rheumatologist or an Orthopedician.
We advise you to place ice packs over your right knee for 4-5 times a day for 5 minutes and also take some pain killers.

Take care and keep us posted of your developments and queries!
