murphy's law

About 4 years ago I had surgery on both of my hands for carpel tunnel and the left hand for de Quervain's tenosynovitis.  As of the last couple of years I have a red nodule on my left middle finger and find it difficult to bend the two middle fingers on both hands.  I also have a lump that comes and goes on top of my left wrist.  Alot of my other bones ( spine, neck and hip) have bone spurs and osteoarthritis yet my doctor says there is nosign of imflammation in my blood tests.  I have pain that goes from my middle finger up to my wrist when using my hand.  Sometimes my hands turn really red and seem to swell some.  I guess I am wondering what i can do to assist my doctor in sending me in the right direction.  Rhuematologist?  Another surgery for the carpel tunnel?  Will braces or splints make a difference.  Why do i get so many tumors and nodules?  I have also had two surgeries on my left foot for plantar fasciitis.  Why is everything on the left side?  Is there an OTC medicine that can help?

Dear Buddy,
The nodule in the middle finger is resulting into Trigger Finger. The presence of nodule delays the movement of the tendons, hence we get this sort of condition where at later stage triggering occurs. For this condition, its better to opt for surgery and release the nodule, so that the triggering stops.
Getting a second opinion from Rheumatologist is one of the best things you have thought of.
There is no specific reason as why you have these small tumors/nodules OR why it happens on the left side only.I have got no explanations for this.
Regards.
