Hard nose

I had a rhinoplasty/septoplasty 4 weeks ago and skin grafts were done in my nose and my nose is hard like a rock.  i have thick mediteranean skin and the surgeon warned me my nose would be swollen for anything up to a year.  when will the hardness though start to subside?

most of the swelling and the hardness should start to subside 3-4 weeks post op.it could take upto an year or maybe more for the residual swelling to completely go away.
