Alar batten grafts

by Tig57, Apr 15, 2009 03:34AM
My left nasal valve still completely closes when I lie down on my right side despite nasal surgery 6 weeks ago including septoplasty, turbinates reduced and nose end shortened/shaped . Are alar batten grafts the best solution? My surgeon says many people find them uncomfortable, and are aware of them and often ask for them to be removed. Is this generally the case and if so is there an alternative? Also, how noticeable are they when looking at the face?
