Can I reverse a rhinoplasty?

by twotracy, Jan 12, 2009 06:17PM
Hi,  I recently had a nose augmentation for the bridge of my nose (December 31st 2008).    However,  I have I keep comparing pictures of myself before and how I look now and I am starting to regret the change I have made.  I feel like having a more prominent nose does takes away from the rest of my face.  Is it too late to have the implants removed?  My doctor used the prefabricated porous type.  Should I wait or is sooner better than later?

Thank you for your help.

Dear Twotracy,

First of all, it is very recent since you have had your surgery.  You should wait and give yourself time to see how the nose is healing.  An implant can be removed.  However, it is best to wait at least a minimum of three to six months.

In this situation, it is still better to contact your doctor in regards to your post operative questions.  This is because your doctor understands your surgical and medical history and can evaluate how you are healing.

I hope this helps.
