Am I Infected ?

A week ago I had protected vaginal intercourse with an escort and she gave me protected oral and I gave her unprotected oral, after 2 days I had metallic taste in the mouth and which turned into bitter taste and then burning tongue and also dry mouth and white tongue, I had no other symptoms and I think I am affected with HIV here after a week of exposure. I had my blood test done but waiting for results. I read from other website that Burning mouth only occurs in women and if it occurs in men than it is a sign of HIV.

And this burning mouth had never happened to me in my life, an all I can see on internet is that burning mouth in men is due to HIV or has to something related to STI as it all happened right after the exposure. Sorry to ask you this again but I am scared and I also have loss of appetite and didn't had much food after the incident. And also have Dry mouth and bitter taste. I also kissed her and is it because of kissing?

Please Help me I'm really scared. Thanks!

HIV needs a specific enviornment to be transmitted. They are very susceptable to air. The envionment needs to be that of unprotected vaginal or anal penetration, with out this, transmission does not take place. If your tongue had a sore on it and you stuck it way up into her vagina, much in the same way as your penis during sex, the risk would be greater. Licking would not be at risk. Diarrhoea and you not eating are related. You lost your appitite, so your regular eating regime has been altered and your system is reacting to that. YOur driving yourself nuts. The good thing about this, is that you most likely will never do this again.

Have an STI screen just to be on the safe side but I can assure you that you had no HIV risk.

instead of sitting at home inspecting yourself and worrying, why not be seen and get a proper exam?

Hi,
Many of these girls use strong douches for cleaning and are more SDT conscious than the averge person because of their trade especially since the HIV scare. It could have been a cream she was using as dont wash off easily because of the cream base. Im thowing these at you to help rest your mind till the test comes back. Grace knows alot about these things and gave you good advise so stop worring.

Thanks very much for the Prompt reply! But I'm still worried as my results are on the way and this was my first encounter of my life and might think if there was a condom failure or something that I didn't notice. Thanks again!

you didn't contract hiv from performing oral on someone.  not likely that you contracted any std at all from performing oral on a female.

protected genital sex is a risk for hpv, herpes and syphilis but overall the risk is very small. we don't recommend testing unless there is a regular partner to protect.

most likely this is a fungal infection orally more than anything. follow up with your provider for your symptoms orally.
