Am I just paranoid?

Three nights ago, I had unprotected sex with a girl my friend knows. The next day my penis and groin were pretty sore. The day after that the tip of my penis was bruised and I still felt pain in my groin. I talked to the girl and she said that she was "clean as far as she was concerned", so I am worried that she may have an STD she is not aware of. It was also my first time having sex, so I figured it the bruise and soreness was due to inexperience. However, I woke up this morning with my groin still fairly sore, but I had a sore throat so I am concerned. I did not go down on her, all we did was kiss and have regular intercourse. As the day has progressed, my sore throat has felt much better.

My question is: Should I be very concerned about my situation or am I just acting paranoid? I have done a lot of research the past few days about STD's and many symptoms dont seem to appear this quickly. I also plan on getting checked, but I dont know when I should see a doctor or what I should test for. Any help would be very appreciated.

I know, I realize that I have been worrying too much. Its just stressful being only 18 and realizing there is a problem.

first off - stop spending so much freakin time with your penis!!!  really, you are worried about microscopic red dots????  you have jock itch and never treated it properly - of course you'll have some redness.

veins looking larger?? one more sign you are spending far too much time inspecting your genital area.

Update: I am starting to get very worried... I got a call a few days ago from the doctor telling me that I tested positive for mono. I thought that the swollen lymph nodes in my groin were caused by that and I figured I would just have to deal with it until I was over mono.

However, l still have a bruise on my penis shaft and my groin is still very sore. Last night my penis felt hard in the flaccid stage and I became very concerned. I woke up this morning and it still has felt hard in the flaccid stage and I have noticed a very small, almost microscopic red dot on my shaft, what could this be a sign of?

I just got back from the doctors and they think I have mono.

As for the jock itch, I have been putting powder on my testicles and been using other methods to help cure it. I still feel it, but it has been getting better everyday.

ejaculation has nothing to do with std risk.

you were seen and they felt it was due to jock itch. did you treat it?

Its been a week and my balls are still as sore as they felt next day after sex. I went to the doctor and she said it was jockage. However, I still am worried about an STD. I did not ejaculate the night of sex, and havent ejaculated at all since that night. Could that be affecting my testicles at all?

this doesn't sound std related.  unless you get discharge or obvious lesions/blisters in the genital area, probably not even worth any testing.

try powdering your genitals before getting dressed in the morning for a few days. it will cut down on friction when your penis rubs against your clothing.

My first question would be why would you have unprotected sex. This was your first time and you choose not to where a condom. I hope this is not an std but to be sure you should go get tested. You weren't to embarssed to have sex unprotected so you shouldn't be to go to the doctor and be tested. Always use a condom you are to young to catch an std.

The bruise and pain in my groin has pretty much gone away, but now I feel a little irritation on the tip of my penis whenever it rubs up against my boxers... Should I be concerned?

Symptoms are not STD related...showed too soon and even if showed in right time frame they are not symptoms of a STD.

Test for gonorrhea and chlymida-5-7 days after exposure.
