Am I over reacting?

Hi...older guy. Have had cold sores for many years. Same for the wife. I noticed a small non blister lesion on the shaft of my penis. This never blistered that I am aware of but was aprox the size of a cold sore I get on my lip now and then. From when I noticed it to pretty much healed was 3 days. No pain at all, no swelling, no tenderness,no symptoms at all but what looked like a lesion. We had oral sex aprox 3 weeks prior but did not notice any cold sore activity at the time. Am I over reacting to be worried? 3 days seems awful fast for something to heal over. Thoughts?

Yeah....not healed. Definetly a cold sore looking lesion. I guess I have the hard conversation with the wife. Is a 3 week period unusual to have a sign? I am assuming this is HSV1. From what I have read this may be something that will show up now and then like on my lip, during stress times, flu's, etc.
