Are STD's a possibility if both me and my partner were virgins?

My boyfriend and I lost our virginities to each other in January, and everything was normal until a little over a month ago when I started experiencing strange vaginal discharge (chunky and grayish in color) and intense itching (sometimes burning). I used Vagisil for a while but the problem has not cleared up. I've looked at the possibility of this being a yeast infection, and it looks probable, but I want to be 100% sure before I treat it. I don't want to see a doctor unless I absolutely have to.

The only other thing that this could be, according to WebMD is trichomonas, though it seems my symptoms lean more towards a vaginal yeast infection. I am just wondering if it is possible to get an STD, such as trich when I've only ever had sex with someone who was a virgin before me, and has been monogamous since. I was also a virgin, and have not had sex with anyone else.

Can anybody help me?

If you were on antibiotics, then yes, it is likely yeast.

You should get checked, just to be sure though.

I examined the possibility of BV but it does not seem likely, which is why I mentioned it here. I am on birth control and was recently on anti-biotics so I really think yeast infection is the best bet.

You are missing the possibility of bacterial vaginosis, which is an overgrowth of natural bacteria in the vagina.  You'd need an antibiotic, and it might be in pills or a cream, to cure it.

You really do need to go to the doctor.
