Are these also symptoms of Gonorrhea?

I had unprotected sex with an old acquintance and started experiencing the the following after two days

1. frequent urination
2. burning sensation when urinating
3. unconfortable sensation in the urethra
4. mild pain on tip of penis

I am married. I Could not tell my wife and avoided sex for four days after seeng my GP.
My GP gave me Doxycycline (5days) and the same for my wife (I had to deceive her to take the medication). A week later he gave me Zithomax (4 tablet at once) after a urine test.

My wife never complained of any symptom, but an unusual discharge (this was when we were on treatment).

My symptoms have subsided, but I still feel some sensation (20% compared to before 1st treatment). I now experience :

1.bowel movements with very slight sting especially after meals. So does my wife.
2.a sore throat.

I intend going for more testing in a weeks time. Any info  or suggestions on the above expreriences we are having?

PS. I feel evil for what cheating and not telling my wife of my infection, but on the other hand I feel I am saving my marriage. What did I get myself into?

Thanks for the input. I will post the outcome of my resulsts as soon as I get them. For breakfast I eat a serving of all bran cornflakes which helps regulate digestion, but I will try the other options you Grace mentioned. I am feeling much better today. I have not had a throat antibacterial losange today, but my troat is clearing.

The slight itch only comes and goes especialy before or after urination. It is only felt deep in my urethra.

did your chlamydia or gonorrhea tests come back as + or -?

you needed to wait 1 week post encounter for testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea.  6 weeks for syphilis.  3 months for hiv and herpes testing.  If you can get your other partner to get tested for all of these and share their results with you, it will save you some worry and some testing. don't believe anything unless you see the actual results yourself to be sure that they had all the proper testing done.

bowel movements causing pain isn't a std symptom. odds are that is all from being on antibiotics and having your regular bowel flora messed up. If you like yogurt, eat it 2x/day for a week to restore your proper bowel flora. if you don't like yogurt, consider culturelle 2x/day for a week. it's a pill you can buy in most drug stores, online and even in walmart type places.

sore throats are due to upper respiratory infections and strep more often than std's.

Your current symptoms have nothing to do with a STD. It seems like you were treated before tested so without testing I can't say if you had a STD or maybe a different type of infection. Best advice is to follow up with your Dr, check on your test results.
