Cant get rid of trichomonas

Please help I have been dealing with this issue for 5 months now. I had a new sex partner and a few weeks noticed a funny itch and discharge. I went to the doctor and all my test came back negative for STD's.However the doctor said i had strep or bacteria in my urine, so I was prescribed 500 mg of penicillin one tablet 3 times a day.T his was 6/23/12. This didnt help so I went back to the doctor in July and was positive for urinary tract infection and 8/12/2012 was then given 500 mg of metronidazole one tablet twice a day for seven days. This still didnt cure me,, mind u everytime i go back to the doc .. im checked again and I am still positive for trichomonas. next trip to doctor was 9/22/2012 i was given 150 mg of clindamycin  two capsules twice a day for 7 days. This did not cure me either. next doctor visit was 10/06/2012 doctor said i needed a longer treatment so i was given 250 mg of metronidazole and azithromycin for ten days .. this didnt cure me either 10/13/2012 i was given. and doxycycline. this didnt work either.. so i just went again 11/10/2012  and was  given tindamax 500 mg 4 pills for single dose.  im still not cured. why arent any of these antibiotics working what can i do? my doc said in two weeks i shoul get a referral in the mail to a gynecologist. but what more can they do.. what other treatment is available? Is trich that hard to cure.. im so depressed

also be sure to get copies of all your lab results from when this all happened to take with you to the gyn appointment. it will be very helpful for them and save you time.

hopefully once you see the gyn, they test you using a different testing method to confirm that indeed you do have resistant trich or if you've had multiple false positives with the testing you've been given so far.

stop back and let us know how your gyn appointment goes!
