Chlamydia

I recently tested positive for chlamydia. I've only been with my husband and he's only been with me. I tested negative the whole time I was pregnant and my baby is only 5 months old now. I had bacterial vaginosis in the past. My husband also is not circumsized. Is there anyway to contract chlamydia without sexual contact or is him not being circumsized a factor? I need some help.

Hi im not sure what to add but a culture grows the bacteria in a dish so if it grew they found it. But they said before it was a blood so at this point not sure what to say. Its only contracted by sexual exposure. Did they treat you for it? Something not right about this so maybe ask the doc about the confusion of what test they gave you or ask for a copy of the test results.

They gave me a vague copy of the results and say that it's a future from my cervix. I had a prior bacterial vaginosis infection in the past

You need to confirm which test shows chlamydia as if it was blood then its showing antibodies which mean it was from a prior infection. Usually witha Pap test its only looking for HPV issues not std,s

Now the doctor says that it was a culture from my cervix that confirmed it

Was it a blood test?

They said it was a pap swab
However there are some inconsistencies. The email the doctor sent me said that my blood test confirmed it, but when I messaged the doctor they stated that it was the Papsmear swab. Could I just have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease because I did research and it can mimic chlamydia sometimes. Idk Im just trying to get some answers

Yes I did
I'm trying to see if there is any other way I could've gotten it or if it might be cuz he's not circumsized. I've had bacterial vaginosis before
