Cold Sores

If you have had multiple cold sores over several years (1 to 2 per year on avg.) do you definitely have HSV?  These sores form a blister and eventually bust.  Could it be HSV 2?

Hello,
Just have sussed out that Peppermint Tea seems to stop Herpes. Not a cure for sure but can keep it down better than my Acyclovir Pills. Strange but true. Try it and see.
I'm a Painter and Decorator and not a huge Tea Importer ok so no conflict of interest in my advice.
Cheers Jerry

Typically, cold sores stem from HSV-1 and are formed on the lips.  A large part of the population suffers from cold sores, so you're certainly not alone.  As to whether it could be HSV-2.  It could, but its highly unlikely.
