Coppery smell & no one to ask...

First of all, I've had to put my faith in a website because I'm 17 and
I have no gynecologist nor do I know how to get one. I do understand
that these sort of issues ought to be dealt with through an actual doctor
but nonetheless I'm hoping someone can help...

Ive got this white discharge and a coppery smell (like pennies) coming
from my vagina. When I'm on my period it happens as well but stronger,
Well it's been a week since my period and there is no sign of its remainder
except for the copper smell. I havent been checked since 4 partners ago and
I know how stupid that is. Im not pregnant. I am on yaz.

Someone please help if you've had this similar situation or have any advice I'd
Appreciate it.

we recommend protected oral sex and protected genital sex because it works!  Proper use of a condom means the condom goes on when the clothing goes off, not just waiting for insertion to put it on. You need to think about protecting yourself!!!  The younger you start having sex, the higher your odds of contracting a std in general as well as higher odds of contracting hpv too. 1 out of every 3 teenagers your age has a std - odds are you've slept with someone who has one.

do you have plans to get that 3rd gardasil shot?

I've had 2/3 of my gardasil shots and I dont use condoms when I have sex (another very poor choice)

I'll make an appointment at my youth clinic, thanks so much.

planned parenthood is a terrific place to be seen at. They are typically very compassionate and good at dealing with situations like yours :)   Your regular family doctor can also deal with genital issues too.   If you are on your parents insurance, you can even call the insurance and ask for a recommendation for a gyn that accepts your insurance if you don't want to talk to mom or dad about this.

It's best to be seen and get this looked at. Get tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally. Also discuss your risk for std's and get full std testing as needed.

have you had your gardasil shots?
