Diagnosed and treated for NGU, but results are negative

Hello,
I am a little concerned about my condition, and I 'd be grateful if I could have some answers.
I am in my 20's. Beginning of June, I noticed penile discharge, burning pee sensation and itchiness. So I went to the clinic on 06/05, and the nurse made a swab, urine and blood sample. The same day, the nurse told me I had NGU and gave me 1g of Azithromycin and 800mg of Cefixime. During the week the symptoms seemed to disappear until I noticed again (around 06/12) some itching and a mild burning pee sensation, but no penile discharge.
I finally got my results on 06/16, for chlamydia trachomatis, neisseria gonorrhea, syph, Hep C, HIV. They were all negative. Thus the nurse told me it could be another bacteria and advised me to consult a doctor to look for bladder or kidney infections. I also noticed, sometimes, prostatic pain when urinating or defecating.
So my questions are: What can it be? What is causing those symptoms which made the nurse think I got NGU, and are those causes dangerous? Is Prostatitis a possible cause? Can I resume unprotected sex with my partner?
Thank you

There are certain bacterias common to the vagina and mouth that are not common with the penis and infections can travel to the prostate.

I had unprotected vag. sex with another girl who did tests twice after being with me (all negative), and unprotected oral sex with a 2nd one (still waiting for her results), besides my partner (also waiting for her results).

Did you have unprotected sex with someone outside your relationship?

Thank you for the quick answer, and I'll do the follow-up asap as suggested.
So it could be another sexually transmitted infection that they did not test? Do you got examples?

All NGU means is that its not Gono but they dont know what the bacteria causing this is. Follow up as the nurse suggested and if you had an affair outside your relationship, wait for results before being intimate with her again.
