Do you think I will be fine?

I believe I contracted gonorrhea 3 months ago. I tried to see an doctor but I could not afford the care. It seems it is finally going away with less symptoms showing. I want to know about the keflex. I have read online from many sources that it will cure the infection. I just recently had a bad cut on my finger and went to the ER and I am prescribed (10) 500mg of keflex capsules. I am more concerned about the infection of gonorrhea than my cut, it is rather small. I am prescribed to take 2 of the keflex everyday for 5 days. Do you think it will rid the gonorrhea bacterium.

I have had two hiv testing. Both were negative. I'm overall healthy. Just one mistake I had unprotected sex.

My guess would be gonorrhea but with unprotected anal sex I would advice STD testing and HIV testing.

Ok. I had unprotected anal sex in may. It started a week after. If you can't give me medication advice can you at leats give me some sort of scenario like my case. I have tried numerous times to get a doctor. The first symptom was a burning sensation when I urinated. Then I had yellowish and sometimes brownish(when erected) discharge from the penis. talso when erected my penis would be very stiff and full of blood in the veins. It hurt to bend it towards my stomach when erected. Now every symptom is unoticeable since I started taking the keflex yesterday. I was surprised at how fast I was relieved.

We can't diagnosis you and we can't give medication advice. Other infections not STD related can cause similar symptoms.

What was your exposure? Unprotected sex? Unprotected oral sex? When? And how long after exposure did symptoms start?

Ive tried but the waiting list is about 2 months before I can see a doctor. It's ridiculous. I don't want to wait any longer. This is annoying. I'm sure it's gonorrhea, I've contracted it once before 3 years ago. I've read the symptoms and symptoms for other stds and gonorrhea is the only possible one.

Best advice is to find a free clinic and get advice from a real Dr and get a real diagnosis.

Thanks that really helped. Should I continue to take 2 a day or could I take more since I am a teen. I looked cephalexin up and saw that we are able to take up to 4000mg a day. The sooner this is over the better. If I cannot take more than 2 a day then how much time should I separate before I take two a day, for example wait 6 hours before the next one or what? I have taken 2 since yesterday, 7/13/10, and I can already feel a great change, a very drastic change. I feel a lot more comfortable.
