Gonorrhea

I recently took my 3 year old daughter to the doctor because I suspected she had a minor vaginal infection. The doctors office sent off a culture on her and it came back positive for gonorrhea. She was examined by professional doctors and They said she had no tearing on physical damage anywhere. She hasnt said anything about anyone touching her. She was given a shot of Rocephin and the symptoms were gone the same day. 3 days later they tested he again by urine, blood and cultures which all came back negative. How long would it take for gonorrhea to leave her system after being treated?

children and youth should be following up on this. have they contacted you yet?

Children do not just pick up gonorrhea at her age. sexual abuse definitely needs ruled out.

The last time I checked, the doctor says at least 1 week or maybe more. Most probably a false positive as gonorrhea only transmit via sex.

You would still probably pick up gonorrhea in a test 3 days later. The first test was probably a false positive.
