Gram Diplococcus

Hi Doctor,

I had laboratory test 2 days ago and i got the result which make me a bit confuse.

Swab urethra test :

Gram Negative Coccus : -
Gram Positive Coccus : + (pair) --> i guess "Gram Positive Diplococcus"

I read that evidence of typical Gram-negative diplococci is sufficient to diagnose gonorrhea.
From my lab result above, is it mean i am diagnosed Gonorrhea or something different?

I never get a white, yellow, or green discharge from the penis.

Thanks a lot

OUCH!

Had that done before.

So gonorrhea is gram negative (that just means the type of cell wall it has...don't worry about that).

Take a gonorrhea and chlamydia test, via urine.   Come back and let us know the results.
