Growth Inside Penis/Urethra

For at least 6 months now I've noticed a growth inside my urethra.  To me it looks like a flat skin flap located on the lower side of my penis inside the urethra.  It doesn't hurt, burn, discharge, or anything else to let me know it's there.  I wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't look inside.  The picture is hard to show what it really looks like.  When it's up against the wall of the urethra it looks more like a bump.  However, if i adjust it, it can go back and forth.  It seems that it's only connected at the base of the growth.  When I get it off the wall of the urethra, that's when I can see that it's flat.

The redness seems to go away if I don't masturbate - not sure if the flap irritates the inside with friction.  Does anyone know what this could possibly be?  It worries me that it could be an STD or cancer....

Thanks for your help.

I haven't seen the doctor yet (just detected this exact same thing yesterday). But here is the article I found. Seems to be urethral wart connected with HPV (I have HPV).

The growths (flat and clustered) are most likely genitals warts from having HPV-6 or HPV-11; supposedly 90% of all genital warts are due to having one of the HPV viruses. While the remaining 10% are from having other versions of the virus or something entirely different. There is currently a company working on curing HPV called TamirBio, unfortunately there is no cure to date though; there are treatments for the symptoms that arise from having one of HPV's various types though.

My suggestion, seek medical attention from a doctor so that they may treat whatever symptom you have (ex. warts) and pray TamirBio comes up with cure.

If the warts go untreated they could remain the same, go away, or worsen.

Thanks for this information. I have the same challenge as I write you.I've been treated twice but the growth would not disappear. I will appreciate it if you can give me the name of the prescription or medication you apply. Thanks in anticipation

Could you leave me a note with the name of your prescription?

I'll ask my doctor if that'd be a good option for me.

Thank you.

Ok.. I also went to the doctor (virologist?) and he said it was a small damn chondyloma, gave me prescription for some blueish drops i had to rub it in with for a week or so and then it disappeared... appearently the virus will never go away but chanses are good that i´ll never be troubled with it ever again (because of it´s size and location).. now i´m just trying to make friends with the rubber :/

Since no one has posted what their doctor had to say about the condition and treatment, I'll be the first to share.
I had my visit to an urologist today. First, a PA checked it out. Didn't know what it was. Then, another PA looked at it; still had no idea. Finally, a doctor came and took a look. He said it 'might' be a ward but couldn't say for sure but he recommended to have it removed- outpatient procedure, and see what the lab has to say.
I am scheduling a date to go under the knife and get it over with.

That's what I have to share.

I'd love and appreciate it if someone has found out from the doctor what the growth is and is willing to share the information...

God, what a relief I found this thread. I have exactly the same thing and I´ve been worried about it for some while now. Was thinking about going to the doc tomorrow to have it looked at. Did anyone of you get a clear answer of what it was? One thing that crossed my mind when I first saw it was that it was some kind of small papilloma caused by some sort of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)? but that´s just a wild guess...

I have the same thing... and it started getting irritated because the tip came out the top, and when i was looking at it it popped and blood came out.  Even then it did not hurt, and it mostly disapeared, but the base is still there (and irritated) and even after that there is no pain during urination... but i dont know  what it is

Have you had it checked out?  That would be logical if you are worried its cancer.

But it probably isn't.  It is likely a skin flap.  Just get it checked out and ease your mind.
