HIV, cold, infection or combination?
I am going insane with worry about my symptoms I was sexually assaulted 2 months ago and my blood test does not come back for another week and 1/2. I am worried I have HIV.
I have a fever, night sweats and have been having headaches reaching from my temples to my cheeks. My nose has been congested for a week dripping into my throat and lungs. I have been coughing but just to get the nasal fluid out of my lungs (It is yellow not green so ther is not an infection there). I have been extremely fatigued as well. These symptoms appeared 1 week ago.
Normally I would just see this as a cold but the front wall of my vagina is unusually bumpy at the bottom. It has swollen up and basically reduced my vaginal opening to 1/3 its usual size.There is no pain in this. Around the outside of the vagina is red, raw and itchy. There is no vaginal discharge majority of the time but when there is it is white and clumpy.I thought it was a yeast infection but 3 days into treatment there has been no improvement.These symptoms have been present for 2 weeks,
I am generally a healthy 17 year-old girl. I have very sensitive skin. I am on birth control for period regulation.

I had the blood test for all STIs that can be detected that way and a urine test. I have just have not had a pap test.
I have not told my mom because she has enough to worry about and it destroyed her when my little brother was assaulted 6 years ago. We moved across the country and he went to therapy but I could not do that to her again. I don't have any close friends that I can trust. It is my fault that this happened though so only I should have to deal with the consequences.
I will keep on the yeast infection medication for the full treatment and if no improvement is visible I will go to the doctor and request a pap smear. Thank you for putting my mind at ease about the HIV.

Your ARS Symptoms are inconsistant with HIV infection timeline, and really aren't ARS symptoms. Your suppose to get ARS between 2 to 4 weeks after infection. Medication for 3 days is not enought time. Give it more time for the medication.
Test for other STDs: gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, Hep B, gential herpes. Hang it there as you go through all this. I'll be keeping you in thoughts and my fingers crossed for your results comming up.
