HSV results

Is daily medication needed for HSV results of IGG 7.98 HSV-1 and IGG 5.09 HSV-2?  Are these definite positives if one is not having symptoms and has only had one small sore?

Your test results show that you are + for hsv1 and also + for hsv2.  Statistically it's hsv1 oral and hsv2 genital.

Daily medication is useful for 2 reasons - to help lower the risk of a partner contracting hsv2 and also if you are having frequent ob's or the ob's you do have are particularly bothersome it helps to reduce the number of ob's and make the ones you do have milder. You do not HAVE to treat your herpes in any way at any time in your lifetime unless you chose to though.

I encourage you to take the time to watch the patient counseling video and read the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com. They both go into more details about herpes and treatments to help you understand it all better.
