Hi again....

...really sorry for over-using this thread and your patience. The tendency towards bilateral testicular/prostate pain without any other symptoms after running increased in the following weeks, typically making its debut within 6-36 hours after my 12km running trips and persisting for about two days. However, no discharge and only slight dysuria at one or two occasions. Went to a rather exotic field research trip in India for one month from middle of October. Before going there, I went back to the STD-clinic I originally visited to discuss the situation. They told me that there was virtually no chance of gonorrhea (or chlamydia) as my first urethral sample delivered there (while on doxycycline) was entirely free of leukocytes. As I had some vague symptoms of the same kind in Argentina, I panicked a little and took a week of Bactrim, that seemed to help. When vague symptoms reemerged 2 weeks later, I took a week of cefuroxime, which seemed to alleviate the symptoms. I was examined by an urologist in India who palpated the prostate and failed to find it particlularly swollen. When coming home, it seems that my girlfriend (who has a hormonal IUD) has some kind of bleeding, but she indicated that this was not anything extraordinary. Short question: Given my history, does my behavior and actions seem to become exceedingly paranoid?

....posting in the wrong place. Both bactrim, but particularly cefuroxime is appropriate treatment for prostatitis, which I am convinced that this is. Since I was already treated with doxy before these things developed (excluding chlamydia), I go for an urologisk if problems resurface again.

also if you are self treating with antibiotics, stop. you are just making it less likely you'll get accurate test results by doing that.

you've asked numerous questions here now. at this point unless you have a + std test you need our help with, nothing more we can add to help you.

Hi

If by your behavior/actions you mean excessive posting ("over using the thread"), asking Drs. HHH, and EW questions and then confirming it here on this forum (where there are no doctors), and visiting doctors and getting the same line of advice about your risk, for a bacterial STD.
.... then I would say the answer to your question is YES.

I do however, understand what you are going through especially that you now have dysuria.  That would upset anyone.   Adding to this your gf's recent condition, and guilt.  I don't think your crazy for being concerned.    Figure out what ever  is causing your pelvic pain, it probably is not gonorrhea.
