I think I have gonorrhea

Hey,

Im 25, male. About 5 weeks ago I started feeling a stinging sensation whenever I urinate. Later I also began noticing that there was a clear discharge (like urine) from my penis everytime I checked. I immedietly checked online to see what the diagnosis was for my symptoms. It seemed to match symptoms of Gonorrhea. I had been with a girl about a week prior, we never actually had sex (just fooling around naked) but she performed oral sex.

I have already taken two rounds of cipro and now the stinging when I urinate is gone however the discharge is still happening. I've seen a doctor but he hasn't determined anything and wants me to come back in 2 weeks for a urine test. He gave me vitamin E tablets.

I feel like my time is being wasted and it's quite obvious what I have. I also feel like the doctor is going through the motions to get more money from me.

I just want to know of its ok for me to self medicate with anibiotics like azythromicin? Or should I wait? I just don't want this thing getting worse

More likely to be NGU, but need to test to find what bacteria in order to find what medication to take.

Thats why initially I thought it was possibly a UTI, but with the discharge I was leaning more towards an STD. Maybe I didn't take the Cipro long enough. I took the dosage (2 a day) for 10 days (2 packs).

I am currently in Ghana and the have yet to find a clinic that does same day STD test. I waited 5 hours to even meet the doctor for my consultation.

I just don't want to risk whatever I have getting worse.

I doubt you got gonorrea from a girl giving oral sex, it would be very rare but if you got gonorrea the cipro you took would have cured it. You can get tested right now. I don´t know why your doctor wants you to wait 2 weeks but he is a doctor and knows much more tan you and me. Maybe he thinks you have another thing?
