Does anyone believe it? That ignorance is bliss. I know it's always good to know if you have an STD (Honestly I wish I HAD Gonorrhea or Chylamdia instead of possibility of Herpes). And it's definitely good to know so you don't infect anyone else. But those 90% of people who don't even know they have herpes...at least they're not on a message board 24/7, crying their eyes out...at least not yet.

Spidey has the right perspective. Jeez, herpes is hardly a deadly disease--in fact, it's more like a total non-event for most people. If most people don't even realize they have it, then how horrible can it really be?

although i'm pretty sure anyone who has herpes wishes they didn't.....it's not a "deadly" disease....yes it's bothersome, so is the common cold, and a cold is much more contagious. herpes is a virus that lives in your body forever, yes, but it's not going to kill you. you should really take the time to search the archives of this forum and read what the people with knowledge of this virus have to say about it and you will realize that it's not really as bad as it seems. it is estimated that approximately 25% of the population in the US has genital herpes. that is 1 in 4 people. put that in perspective of how many people you know. how many could possibly have the same virus? we all have the chicken pox virus forever, nobody flips out when the neighbor kid exposes their kid to chicken pox. if you have sex you take a chance. period. regardless of how much protection you use or how "carefull" you think you are, you still are taking a chance. you get what you get is the way i see it....and if you pass it on to someone else because you didn't know you had it, (or even if you did know) that person was taking the same chance by having sex with you..

now that im worry of having herpes, i wish i could start my life over.
i want a happy life and enjoy it, not having some deadly decease and there is no cure for it.
it like causing my downfall, my mind are completely lost, no power to do anything. always think of STDs, i dont no wat to do now. if my family find out im having Herpes or anything other STDs, they will ignore me and kick me out of the family.
Plz god hear me and help me.
only test no for sure now, but some of the symptom appear on my body. that is 100% herpes

RFC if a person got infected in any STDs decease and didnt no or didnt get any medication or treatment, how long can they live?

I agree. I wish I was one of those people to not ever know. The two people that might have given me herpes say neither of them have anything and wont get tested. It HAD to be one of them but neither is worried and will get tested. I am that unlucky 10% percent that gets the symptoms and am going to have to tell anyone I see in the future that I have a life-long disease. i wish I was that 90% for sure!
