Infected Fordyce spot, or something worse?

Hi

So recently I noticed that I had a small white bump on my penis. It was relatively clear, and not all that large, but looked somewhat like a pimple, without the whitehead. But I hadn't ever really noticed it before. For an example of what it looked like, here is a link to a photo from google.

Admittedly I messed with the bump a little bit, trying to pop it several times (to no avail). Then, the other day I had sex with my girlfriend, with a condom on. The next day the little white bump had actually turned into a swollen red bump. And now, when I woke up this morning the bump was even larger and was filled with a yellow looking puss. The overall look of the bump is essentially a large zit.

So my question is, is this most likely a fordyce spot that I messed with too much, and it got infected? Or could it possibly be some sort of STD that has coincidentally shown up?

I have a hard time believing it could be an STD, because my current girlfriend is only the 2nd person I've had sex with, and my first partner we were both virgins when we started having sex. But I'm still worried. I've been with my current girlfriend for six months and never seen any outbreaks on her and she has never mentioned any STD issues.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi , if it was slightly firm it might be HPV. Its quite common.
