JUST WONDERING?

HELLO, I WAS JUST TREATED FOR GONORRHEA,CHLAMYDIA AND TRICHOMONIASIS. IM NOT SURE IF I EVEN HAD ALL THREE INFECTIONS.I WONT FIND OUT TILL THE 5TH, BUT THE DOCTOR TREATED ME FOR ALL THREE TO PLAY IT SAFE DUE TO MY SYMPTOMS. AFTER BEING TREATED I DEFINITELY NOTICED A BIG CHANGE SO I KNOW I HAD ONE OR MORE OF THE THREE... BUT MY QUESTION IS, IS IT NORMAL TO HAVE SPOTTING AFTER TREATMENT?  BECAUSE I HAD A LIGHT BLEEDING A FEW DAY AFTER I WAS TREATED BUT  ALL MY SYMPTOMS WENT AWAY.

Hi Gigi, glad you are already feeling better.  I am just another member of the community, but in my opinion your doctor absolutely did the right thing treating you with antibiotics before your test results came back because he or she has been trained to recognize the symptoms of STD's and in his or her judgement, the risks vs. rewards weighed in your favor for immediate antibiotic treatment.  I'm not sure what is causing your spotting, but the test results will likely come back to him with recommendations on an appropriate antibiotic if you happen to have an antibiotic resistant strain of something.  You may want to contact him to let him know you are experience spotting.  Also, keep in mind many antibiotics continue to work in your system for days after you are done taking them.
