Molluscum Contagiosum and Herpes

Is there any link between Molluscum  Contagiosum and Herpes?  I'm a male who had been in a monogamous relationship for over 15 years, however recently I have had a sexual relationship with two other women, both unprotected.  I have had extremely small white bumps, that look like pimples, show up in my genital area within the last few weeks or so.  In the last couple of weeks, one of the women that I've been seeing told me she thought she had a yeast infection and when she went to a clinic, they tested her for herpes (culture test) and it came back positive.  Before we started a sexual relationship a few months ago, she told me her last sexual partner had been over 6 months prior to me and it was a one night stand.  Being concerned, I went to a clinic and the Dr. took a look at the small bumps I have and I was told it was Molluscum Contagiosum and was prescribed Imiquimod.  The other woman I have seen has not shown any symptoms of anything that I am aware of or at least she has not told me anything.  I am just a little intrigued and curious to know if there is any link between the two viruses and should I be concerned about any other STD.

Well I was just wondering since both of these appeared about the same time.  I didnt know if maybe the MC was a precursor for Herpes or was anyway linked to it somehow.  Just seemed a little odd to have happened this way.

No, they are 2 seperate things.
Any unprotected sex runs a risk of STD's so never a bad idea to test.
