Molluscum not going away?

Hi Everyone. I'm 21 yr old female.
About three years ago I noticed a few bumps down there, had an HPV scare, that wound up not being the issue. So when I went for my annual exam this year, I switched Dr.'s & had mine look at the bumps, there were 5 of them. He said he wasn't sure if they were molluscum or skin tags, but told me not to worry and did not offer any treatment for them.
Of course I went home and googled them, found out they were associated with HIV, so went and had a rapid test done a few weeks after being dx with molluscum or skin tags. The rapid test came out negative, , and i picked off these bumps ( i know your not supposed to.) That was well back in March. Well 2 days ago in the shower I shaved and noticed I was bleeding a lot from one spot. I cleaned it off, and saw one. Now I'm wondering why these haven't gone away yet, everything I see saws 2 years, and it has been well over 2 years.
Do you think these are infact skin tags and not molluscum? they were flesh colored and kind of soft and moveable.

LOL yes - the internet can be very useful, but also a terrible waste of time.

Good luck, and if you have any questions, let us know.

thank you. i was wondering why the hell my doctor didn't do that in the first place! i will ask him next time I go in. (I see a lot of him for other things, like fibroid adenomas, etc) I think a biopsy will tell me exactly what it is! Because I don't think Molluscum hang around for years at a time!

And I figured it was really associated with HIV, the internet is such a waste of time sometimes. I mean you type in "runny nose" and you can get results saying you have hiv or cancer.

Thanks agin.

LOL I'm glad you got the answers you needed.  I would have suggested seeing your doctor and getting it biopsied.

Also, molluscum isn't really associated with HIV, any more than anything else is.

Nevermind, im  thinking these are skin tags bc I just read a post where Dr. HHH says molluscum never last for more a few months. Ok. These lesions hadnt changed or done anything else in years. I think I caused a skin tag from wearing tight clothing around the area..I will be more careful!
