Need an Opinion.

About three weeks ago had unprotected sex with a stranger.  Two days later i had severe burning in urethra and frequent urge to urinate.  I have not noticed any type of discharge.  At the time i had a sinus infection and completed a course of Azithromycin.  The Azithromycin did not clear the sinus infection so i was put on Cefdinir at 300 mg twice a day for one week.   My hope was that if i had anything one of these two antibiotics would clear it up.  Yesterday i went to doctor due to still having the burning after urination.  I was given a pee test and then prescibed 10 days of Cipro 500 mg twice a day.  I do not think they tested me for any stds but i was diagnosed with a UTI.  My question is that since i have not had any discharge of any type and also no sores of any type...could i possibly be looking at trich?

Thank you for your quick response.  I noticed that i forgot to say that yesterday.  One last question.  It has now been 2 and a half weeks and i have never seen or noticed any discharge.  I saw somewhere else where you wrote that 90% of men with gonorrhea will experience discharge and that you have heard the doctors say that they dont remember any cases with no discharge.  I still plan on asking for the tests if the Cipro doesnt work but i was just curious as you mentioning gonorrhea if i am not showing some of the signs.  Thanks again...i think you are amazing for the help you give to scared people.

Trich...possible but so is gonorrhea and chlymida. I would first let the medication try to take care of the UTI, if symptoms still present then follow up with Dr and ask to be tested for gonorrhea and chlymida.
