Nervous about Epididymitis

Dr,

I had a one night stand early Saturday morning.  I was extremely drunk and while I know I wore a condom, it's likely that there was a small amount of unprotected sex.  By mid-Tuesday morning I was starting to experience a dull pain in my right testicle, towards the back of the testicle.  By Tuesday night the pain was stronger - not too strong, but noticeable.  However, I could touch and move around my testicle without any pain.  There were and still are no other symptoms - no other pain, no issues with my penis, no discharge, no issues urinating (actually, urinating feels great).  The testicle seems to be raising itself a little.  Went to docs Wednesday morning and they are running STD tests.  However, my urine test came back negative for everything, including presence of white blood cells.  Also, prostate check revealed no inflammation.  The DR seem skeptical that it was an STD because I had no other symptoms and because it was only 3 days after the sex.  I was given a script for Doxy (100mg, 2xDay) - been feeling a little better since then.

Somebackground info:  in '06 I had a non-STD related bacteria infection in my urethra; in 08 I had a slight prostate infection.  Both times I was negative for all STDs.  Both times I had slight testicular pain.
Also, I swim in a public pool a lot.  I also rode a bicycle for 45 mins 6 days before, which I have never done.  Also, I used a new lubricant (astroglide) to maturbate on Sunday.

Finally, I have a serious girlfriend.  I am so nervous and guilty about this drunken escapade that I know I'm freaking out and that it may have an effect on my symptoms (it's not as noticeable when I don't dwell on it).

Bottom line: Do you think I have an STD?  My tests come back on Monday.

Thanks.

Its possible you have an std, but your tests will bear that out.

This can be from the biking, the alcohol, the new lube, etc.  I'd get the varicose veins checked out.  You can also get those in your genital area.

One more thing: I have developed serious varicose vein issues in my calf and thigh over the last few weeks and have noticed an increase in the size, amount and slight pain since Friday.  They are in the leg opposite the testicle, though.
