Pain in tip of penis, but went away for 4 weeks

A couple of months ago I received unprotected oral sex from a female sex worker.  25 days later I started having a burning pain in the tip of my penis, but no discharge.  I was tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia and results came back negative, no treatment was given.  After about 10 days, the burning went away and everything felt completely normal.  Four weeks later the pain returned.  The burning seems more intense while sitting and is not particularly worse with urinating, although I do feel like I have to urinate frequently.  Is it possibly NGU?  Do symptoms disappear and flare up again with no treatment?

Hi, when you have a urinary infection they most often are consistant. The bacteria or virus is in your urethra multiplying left untreated. the most important part about urethra infection is a white discharge, without this there is  no infection. One thing that can cause urethra discomfort without a discharge is herpes but if  you have a herpes sore inside it would be  very painful as is an open sore.
So bottom line is that urethra discomfort with out a white or yellow discharge would not be considered an infection. Also 25 days is quite a long time to show symptoms as usually develop in about a week.
