Penile Itchiness and Discharge

A friend had unprotected sex with a lady he had known for quite a while now, many days later he started discharge and experiencing acute penile itchiness. He took some Amoxil that was prescribed to him for a previous sinus infection, and the itchiness reduced drastically, the discharge stopped too.  He thinks it's penile yeast infection, but I told him Amoxil makes yeast infection worse so it couldn't possibly be. He is too shy to go see a doctor. Can Amoxil cure yeast infection? Please help! Thanks.

he had unprotected sex so he needs to follow up with proper testing at the proper times. he can get tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trich and ngu any time after 1 week post encounter. syphilis affter 6 weeks. herpes, hiv and hepatitis after 3 months.

amoxicillin isn't really effective for most std's. he also most likely did not take any doses that were effective anyways. he should wait a full week after he last self treated before going for any std testing.
