Penis spot after Syphilis treatment

Was diagnosed with syphilis 2 weeks ago and went on the 14 day, 2 pills per day of 100mg  doxycycline monohydrate.  All of my obvious skin sores and spots almost disappeared except one on my penis head gland close to the pee hole.  This spot is still noticeable.  With penal activity I can barely make out a little skin discoloration where the other affected areas were.  The following are my questions.

1.  My urologist suggested I take another 14 days of doxycycline monohydrate.  Would you recommend this?  I may have one side effect of this medicine which is a sinus condition which acts like one of my colds but it is not progressed from my sinuses like a cold always does.  This issue has lasted for 4 days.

2.  Eventually, will this obvious dark red spot next to my pee hole disappear?

3.  Should my penal skin completely clear up?

PS:  I don't think my urolgist has a lot of experience with STD's as I guessed correctly which STD I thought I had after internet studing.

Seems that all who should know about this Tier Number are not on the same page or use the same lab format.  The closest to any tier # may be a FTA # as I was told??.  Am having the lab do some checking as a sample was suppose to be sent out with results showing my FTA #.  As the Medical Profession would like the patient to be more involve in their care, I always educate myself on my care.  I am finding lab result formats vary from lab to lab, and more importantly pharmacitical companies are not doing any color coding on like pills between themselves.  This contributed to the death of my mother as her meds were the last thing she gave up controlling.
