Posting for a second time - any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, I was diagnosed with HSV 2 after a serious and lengthy lung infection in December 2013. I have had an outbreak ever since then. Sometimes there is a few days in between but mostly back to back. I tried taking Valtrex on a suppressive dosage for about 4 months, no help. I am taking a variety of supplements and vitamins that also do not seem to be assisting me to keep the outbreaks at bay.
Outbreaks on buttocks and base of spine. Diagnosis confirmed by culture and blood test as well.
I have seen dermatologists, a infectious disease doctor, medical doctors, and a naturopath.
I have not found anything that helps me and it is getting pretty expensive, depressing, and hopeless.
I am at my wits end. Please help.

Same general area, yes. The infectious disease doctor told me I had an atypical case so I am not sure whether it is or not an outbreak. I just assume that it is because it is in the same area.
I stopped taking the antivirals after four months as it did not work for me. I was on one tablet per day which I think is 500 mgs.

Hi, so these outbreaks are in the same spot and look and react the same as the one that was cultered? If so, and you know these are infact outbreaks (i say this because antiviral meds should help) then download "updated herpes handbook" by terri warren, its free and check the section on taking antivirals and see if your current dosage are what she is recommending.
