your risk of a std from protected oral sex is incredibly low and not worth this much worry about. no reason for any follow up or testing from this encounter.
Chancres are obvious and look like a dime shaped or coin shaped legion, almost flesh eating appearance. They are usually painless but you would notice it somewhat, even if you weren't looking down there. But, please, follow up on Grace's advice and get checked out.
Thanks for your answer. No I don't have symptoms. I received oral sex with a condom from a sex worker. She also licked and sucked my scrotum. I was in a country with a higher rate of syphilis than the U.S., so just trying to understand to what degree I am at risk. There were no cuts or open skin to my knowledge on my scrotum.
How big are chancres usually? Would it be possbile for me to have one on my scrotum and not notice it?
ify ou have symptoms, you should be seen for a proper work up. they can easily test any symptoms you have for syphilis and herpes for you if you are concerned.
