RPR NonReactive, TPPA reactive, T.pallidum(IgG/IgM) EIA reactive)

I had a syphilis in the past (17 years ago!!!). Recently I had tested for a syphilis and the results surprised me:
T.pallidum(IgG/IgM) EIA reactive
Syphilis RPR NonReactive
Syphilis TPPA reactive

I searched the internet and found following about TPPA:
"Once positive, it remains so and cannot be used to judge effects of treatment."
"Like other treponemal serological tests, the TP-PA is reactive for life, and therefore is not suitable for monitoring treatment."
"Syphilis TP-PA antibodies may persist for many years and sometimes for life in treated, cured patients"

How it is possible that in some resources it is stated that TP-PA is reactive for life and in another that TP-PA is reactive sometimes for life. So is it ALWAYS reactive for life or SOMETIMES.

These test that I did is very important to me. I am doing an immigration and these results went to the government people.

Should I expect a request for an additional tests?
If there are any additional test at all?
If Syphilis RPR NonReactive does it prove that I don't have syphilis anymore?

You answer will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

I don't know about immigration, but that looks like a false positive to me.  Your further testing should confirm that.

Basically your test shows you had syphilis in the past, but don't currently have an infection.  Hopefully this won't interfere with your immigration process.

I don't know about the request for another test.  I'm not sure why they would since the RPR was Non Reactive.
